Well, I spent yesterday repainting our bathroom. We decided to do a textured effect to cover the imperfections in the drywall. Needless to say, it didn't go on evenly. I did three of the walls and Ron finished the last one. Since I had lost my temporary placement at American Greetings, I'm currently unemployed again. I will be going back to doing computer repair and upgrading for a friend of mine. It's not going to be a lot of hours, but it's at least something for now. Hi, I haven't posted in months, so I thought it was time. My relationship with Ron (my bf) is going pretty well. We've been living together now since January '06. I tend to be a slob and he's a neat freak, so we have our good and bad days. lol. I just lost the placement I had through a temp agency, so I'm currently unemployed. I did apply for a government job, so we both have our fingers crossed on that one. That's it for today. John. Current Mood: contemplative Current Music: Nick Lachey - What's Left of Me

overdone emotions, and intrusions on my privacy.

I haven't posted on here in a while. Well, my life has taken an interesting direction. I've been chatting with a guy on Adam4Adam for a little while now. We seem to have similar interests and he is definitely someone that I want to get to know better. I may already be even falling for him. He does live in Ohio and I live in Florida, so if it works out . . . I will relocate. Stay tuned for further details on this. :) I've added a javascript based menu to my website. I didn't want to use javascript at all, but I'm stuck with it until I can find another way to do it. Talk to you soon, John. Hey there. I haven't posted in quite some time. Not sure where all my time has gone actually. It's not like I've been going out or anything. I have spent some time trying to revise and plan the new look for my site. I still haven't come up with a definite look that I want for it, so it will continue to be a work in progress. Not much going on the dating front. Really trying to just make friends since I don't have too many here. I also can't ever tell if a guy really likes me. I've thought a few have, but then they've never asked to hang out again. So, not really sure. Oh well. I guess that's it for now. Talk to you soon, John. November 10th, 200511:33 pm: "Somethings changed within me. Something is not the same!"
The above is a line from the song Defying Gravity from the Broadway musical Wicked. (The Wicked Witch of the West has decided to no longer accept the limitations that others have placed on her. She is going to learn to fly on her own.) This parallels my situation. I have been reading self-help books for the last few years and I have listened to many motivational tapes. But it wasn't until I listened to that song that everything changed for me. I finally experienced a breakthrough or maybe I finally heard the message in the right way. For years I have felt a sadness within me. I'm not sure if I just was bored or looking for someone else to make me happy. This is what I finally understood. Other people's opinions of me don't really matter. I am as I was created and I am as perfect as I was meant to be. The sadness and emptiness that I've felt for years finally was gone. I was whole again. I can do anything that I want to do and no one can hold me down. Current Mood: contemplative Current Music: "Defying Gravity" by Wicked The Musical

Elmo You scored 64% Organization, 75% abstract, and 57% extroverted! |
This test measured 3 variables.
First, this test measured how organized you are. Some muppets like Cookie Monster make big messes, while others like Bert are quite anal about things being clean.
Second, this test measured if you prefer a concrete or an abstract viewpoint. For the purposes of this test, concrete people are considered to gravitate more to mathematical and logical approaches, whereas abstract people are more the dreamers and artistic type.
Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.
You are mostly organized, more abstract, and both introverted and extroverted.
Most people either love or hate Elmo. I hope you love Elmo, because that's who you are.
You are both somewhat organized. You have a good idea where you put things and you probably keep your place reasonably clean. You aren't totally obsessed with neatness though. Elmo has the same basic approach. His place is pretty tidy, but he doesn't spend all of his time cleaning it up.
You both are abstract thinkers. You definitely are not afraid to take chances in life. You only live once. You may notice others around you playing it safe, but you are more concerned with not compromising your desires, and getting everything you can out of life. This is a very romantic approach to life, but hopefully you are also grounded enough to get by. Elmo's whole life is based on fantasy and his imagination. In the beginning he was a regular character, but now he spends most of his time in this fantasy world.
You are both somewhat extroverts. Like Elmo, you probably like to have some time to yourself, but you do appreciate spending time with your friends, and you aren't scared of social situations. Elmo spends some of his time with real friends, but he also needs some time just to chat it up with his goldfish.
The other possible characters are Oscar the Grouch Big Bird Cookie Monster Ernie Snuffleupagus Kermit the Frog Grover The Count Guy Smiley Bert
If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also if you want to tell me your favorite Sesame Street character, I can total them up and post them here. Perhaps your choice will win! |
